Hello and welcome to this corner of the internet! This is a place for myself to share both academic and non academic interests of mine.

I’m Jem and I have a background in both archaeology and history, this will become apparent with what I share on this site! The ‘slay she’s a girlboss’ is an ode to my original blog site I set up back in 2023. My hope is to share bitesized pieces of information and discussions on the topics of witchcraft, queenship, gender history and disability. As well as my growing interests around folklore. The period I work best in is 1500-1800 and this means that most of my work and writing is based on this. The archaeologist in me loves pagan burials and bio-archaeology which links incredibly well with all of my other academic interests. As I am neurodivergent my work can be considered outside the box as who wants to work within restraints but it can mean my writing style is what some may consider ‘chaotic’.

In my ‘free time’ I love to write poetry and write in general so this will be shared once I get used to the workings of this hosting site. Anyway, I do look forward to sharing my knowledge and analysis on this site and making it uniquely ‘jemified’.
