Jem is a non-binary historian with a BA in History and Archaeology, the love and passion for these subjects stemmed from early childhood. They now spend their time researching queenship and growing their knowledge through looking at people that are otherwise ‘lost’ in the historical records. Even when these records do document the ordinary people this tends to demonise them, for example through accusations of witchcraft. Even documented ‘elites’ are disproportionately underwritten about for example some queen consorts. As previous historians have put it, ‘history is written from the victors’. Therefore, taking away from the fact that history is about learning from our ancestors because if we don’t learn from the past we are certainly doomed to repeat it.

This means that this corner of the internet tries to restore, public perception of history and make history more ordinary, exciting and chaotic!
